K.Y.G was founded in July 1945 and was originally named Kwang-Youn Engineering Factory. It was registered in Kaohsiung Harbour Bureau. Later the factory name was changed to Kwang-Youn-Gi Engineering Co., Ltd. due to business expansion. Our company has had extensive experience in the marine engineering business.

We maintain state-of-the-art technology and service at international levels. We are in a joint and cooperative venture with Azuma Kako Co., Ltd. Japan which is the world leader in low temperature welding and reconditioning processes. Our Kaohsiung factory does ship reconditioning as approved by all classification societies.

Throughout the years we have consistently upgraded our equipment and enlarged our factories. We have maintained a skilled and experienced workforce in the area of ship repairs. We are the leading marine repair service in Taiwan with an international clientele.

本公司原名「光陽吉鐵工廠」， 成立於民國三十四年（1945），原從事於漁船維修工程。因擴展業務，於民國五十八年（1969）更名為「光陽吉鐵工有限公司」，轉型從事商船維修，擁有豐富之各種船舶維修經驗。

主要經營項目為船舶甲板、輪機各項維修工程、備品供應、機件再生、超音波厚度量測、水袋荷重測試及艉軸軸封接合等各項專業技術，範圍含全台灣各港口及東南亞。

至今維持國內、外客戶超過3,000家以上，品質、工期及價錢均受到肯定，執台灣修船業在港航修之牛耳。
